The first grant for $299,670 was awarded under the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP), and the second grant for $150,000 was awarded under the Incarcerated Veterans’ Transition Program (IVTP)

March 6, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- At its February 23, 2012 meeting, the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority Board of Directors approved the draft 2012 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Procedures and then proposed amendments to the 2012 QAP and LIHTC Procedures for public comment. The 2012 QAP will apply to all LIHTC applications beginning in 2012, including those applying in September, 2012.

The protest was aimed at cleaning contractor Jani-King of Hartford, which took over cleaning at the plant in May and refused to hire any the previous contractor's eight custodians, many of whom had worked at the facility for years.
