DeLauro Calls For A National Infrastructure Bank And A Major Investment In American Jobs
Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) today visited Tilcon Connecticut in to call for the creation of a National Infrastructure Bank. DeLauro has introduced legislation to create such a program, which would help finance the nation’s most critical infrastructure projects, while also creating good paying jobs repairing roads, building bridges, and creating safer and more modern water projects.
Congresswoman Esty Leads Charge for Long-Term Fix for Nation’s Infrastructure
Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty (CT-5), a member of the New Democrat Coalition and the U.S. House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, sent a letter to Speaker Boehner and Leader Pelosi calling for a permanent solution to funding the Highway Trust Fund. The letter was also endorsed by New Democrat Coalition Members Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18), Ed Perlmutter (CO-7), John Carney (DE At Large District), and John Delaney (MD-6).

GOV. MALLOY ANNOUNCES SMALL TOWN GRANTS TO ASSIST SEVEN COMMUNITIES WITH CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that, in the first installment of several rounds of funding, seven towns in Connecticut are being awarded grants under the state’s Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) to assist with infrastructure improvement projects.
