$530,473 Grant Will Work to Improve Urban Housing in Milford
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Rosa L. DeLauro (D-CT) today applauded the announcement by the Department of Housing and Urban Development that a $530,473 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) will be made available to help improve low and moderate-income housing in the City of Milford, Connecticut.
“This timely grant will help the City and citizens of Milford to revitalize their urban neighborhoods,” said Congresswoman DeLauro. “With these critical funds, the City can better maintain affordable housing in Milford for all its residents during these tense economic times.”
The Community Development Block Grants program provides annual grants to States and local units of government to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.
