BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — The 2007 shopping season is shaping up to be extra special at Stamford Connecticut’s Stamford Town Center. The downtown center’s new pedestrian-friendly outdoor plaza debuts November 1 along Tresser Boulevard and Greyrock Place.

Opening that day in the new space are four restaurants — P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, California Pizza Kitchen, Kona Grill and Cosi — along with the state’s largest Barnes & Noble.
“The plaza shops and eateries add a welcoming new dimension to Stamford Town Center,” said General Manager Michael McAndrews. “Our vibrant city's daytime workers will find the improved street-level access especially convenient.”
Completing the plaza offerings will be stylish Swedish unisex clothier H&M (opening in mid-November) and two new-to-the-market restaurants — Mitchell's Fish Market (opening December) and The Capital Grille (opening in early 2008). A new 454-seat food court and a Looney Tunes-themed children's play area will open November 18 on Level 7 of the high-energy vertical center.
In addition to the plaza offerings and Level 7 amenities, there are new retail offerings opening throughout the center. Coach and Swarovski opened in October, and debuting for the holidays will be Who.A.U., the first United States location for one of South Korea's most popular youth and young adult apparel merchants.
A dramatic glass tower with escalators and elevators connects the landscaped plaza area to the center's existing offerings, which include Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, and 130 shops, restaurants and services. Valet parking services, available adjacent to the plaza, complement abundant self-parking options in the center’s enclosed deck.
