Reopen budget to increase aid; work together to solve property tax crisis

As 2008 session approaches:

CCM begins airing radio message on Thursday, January 31, calling on the Governor and General Assembly to reopen the second year of the state budget to increase state aid to towns and work together with towns to solve the property tax crisis

The Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, the statewide association of towns and cities, tomorrow (Thursday, January 31) will begin airing a radio spot across the state, with the 2008 state legislative session set to begin next week, that calls on the Governor and General Assembly to reopen the second year of the state budget to increase state aid to towns; to work together with towns to solve the property tax crisis; and to reject a property tax cap alone as property tax reform.
