Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association (CTREIA) Announces The Apartment Owners Association Of CT June 2010 Meeting

Meriden, CT – May 27, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — The Connecticut Real Estate Investors Association, or CTREIA, in association with the Apartment Owners Association of Connecticut, or AOACT, is announcing the June 2010 AOACT meeting with Joanne Hebert from Lowes, Gloria Godoy from the Godoy Insurance Agency, and Sherwin Williams. This event will take place on Tuesday, June 8 from 6:45 to 9:00 pm, at the Comfort Inn in Meriden, CT. This event is free for AOACT and CTREIA members, and $30 for guests.

Joanne Hebert will discuss the services by Lowes that are available to apartment owners. She will discuss in-depth the procedures related to: delivery services, priority pick-up, benefits of having a commercial account, job lot pricing, buying in bulk discounts, American Express benefits, credit programs, and their commercial team. Gloria Godoy from the Godoy Insurance Agency will discuss the benefits of builder’s risk insurance and tenant insurance. A representative from Sherwin Williams will discuss: the discounts available to CTREIA and AOACT members, benefits of online ordering, centralized billing, national account programs, and more.

Other topics that will be discussed include: the new EPA ruling on lead paint removal by contractors and home owners, how to reduce evictions, affordable property maintenance techniques, how to fine tune an apartment lease, how to choose the best quality client and tenant, an investigation into fair housing advertising laws, and more.
