The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) plans to offer up to $60.3 million in Tax Exempt Bonds to finance six affordable multifamily rental developments: Billings Forge in Hartford, Charles Street Apartments in Meriden, Frost Homestead in Waterbury, Laurelwood Apartments in Bridgeport, Old Talcott Mill in Vernon, and Trinity Park in Stamford, totaling 488 units
Justice Department Sues Lakewood, Colorado, Apartment Complex for Discriminating Against Families with Children
The lawsuit arose from a complaint filed with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by the Denver Metro Fair Housing Center, a non-profit organization that works to promote equal housing opportunities in the Denver metropolitan area. The center sent testers posing as prospective renters to Westland to determine whether they were complying with the Fair Housing Act.

In truth, NMHC did not provide mortgage modification services for any homeowners, and operated only as a front.
