Lieberman Applauds More Than $26 Million for Affordable Housing in Connecticut
WASHINGTON, DC – June 30, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Senator Joe Lieberman (ID-CT) today applauded the release of $26,170,888 for affordable housing projects and programs throughout Connecticut. The funds were released by the Department of Housing and Urban Development as a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
“This money will allow Connecticut’s low income and unemployed workers to have access to quality affordable housing options,” Lieberman said. “These funds will help reinforce existing affordable housing programs and create new, innovative options, while stimulating employment in the hard-hit construction industry.”
